Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong Alumni Association (THEi-AA) successfully held the "Career Sharing Series – Event Planning in Sports & Recreation Management" on 22 March, 2025, at THEi Chai Wan Campus. The event combined industry experience exchange with eco-friendly crafting, attracting alumni from various cohorts and current students. Participants gained practical skills in event planning while experiencing the creative process of sustainable crafting, fostering an interactive platform for exchange.
During the event, Jasmine Lo, an alumna with aBachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Sports and Recreation Management, shared her insights through real-world case studies. She covered topics such as event planning, resource allocation, and risk management, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of the sports and recreation management. Additionally, the Alumni Association invited instructor from Wind.n.sand to guide participants in creating unique accessories using recycled coffee capsules, embodying the concept of upcycling and allowing them to take home one-of-a-kind keepsakes.
As a highlight of the Mentorship Programme, the event facilitated lively discussions among alumni and current students on industry trends and career development. Not only did it strengthen the connection between alumni and their alma mater, but also expanded their professional networks and allowed them to explore new opportunities. Post-event feedback highlighted the enriching content, with many expressing interest in similar future activities.
The Alumni Association extends its sincere gratitude to VTC Alumni Relations for their full support and to all participants for their enthusiastic engagement.
