Peel Street in Central gives visitors the old-meets-new vibe. Amid weathered hawker stalls, traditional noodle bars and dried seafood shops, there is a restaurant featuring nutritional and healthy fusion cuisines. It is founded by Mabel Ho, an alumna of CCI.
Mabel was keen to participate in skills contests as a culinary student, aiming to level up her cooking skills. After her graduation, she worked as chef in Chinese restaurants and private clubs, and started to write her own cookbooks, to appear on TV shows and host cooking classes. With abundant experience and extensive network, Mabel decided to open the restaurant in Central 3 years ago, to offer customers visual and taste appetite in dining.
To encounter the unfavorable circumstances to business during COVID pandemic, Mabel’s survival strategies were promoting takeaways, group buyers as well as hosting coffee art & brewing class, and cooking classes. In the light of social and economic resumption, Mabel looks forward to the returning of visitors, and her original intention to offer a cozy and relaxed environment to customers while dining in her restaurant, remains.
